Paul Jones-Chamber President
Waddell & Reed
Paul earned a bachelor’s degree from Montana State University, Bozeman and a professional designation CRPC®, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, from the College for Financial Planning. As a personal financial advisor for the past eight years with Waddell & Reed, Paul has helped develop customized financial plans, recommend investment strategies and counseled clients throughout the area. Paul has a passion for financial planning and enjoys working closely with others to help them achieve their financial goals and objectives. Previously, Paul also has worked for Disability Specialist, Inc. focusing on personal and group disability insurance. Paul has lived in the Gallatin Valley for the last 21 years and lives in Manhattan with his wife and three kids. Paul has volunteered his time with the chamber for the last 7 years as enjoys working in the community and being a part of the Chamber of Commerce.
Katie Hart- Vice President
Katie Hart is a native of Manhattan and works as a teller at Manhattan bank. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, as well as, a minor in psychology at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. While at school, Katie worked several part time jobs and spent a semester in Managua, Nicaragua. She gained work experience in everything from being a nanny to a sales associate at a local furniture store. While in Nicaragua, she taught a business ethics class and coordinated fundraising for a multipurpose room at the school. Katie also volunteered as an assistant soccer coach for the city league as well as helping with the Special Olympics.
Prior to graduation, Katie worked summers on her family’s farm. While in high school she also participated in several serve projects with her church’s youth group. These projects focused on aiding, encouraging and rebuilding communities in need. Recently, she volunteered with the Bountiful Basket Co-Op to start a drop off site in Manhattan.
After graduation, she returned home to Manhattan and was hired at Manhattan bank. In 2011 she married Anthony Hart. Katie enjoys many outdoor activities such as bike riding, waterskiing, snowboarding, and hiking.

James (Jim) Albrecht- Board of Directors
I was in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1977. I received a Bachelor of Science in Resource Management, Environment Education and Interpretation. Moved to Manhattan in 1989. At the American Legion, I have served as the 2nd Vice Commander and Vice Commander. In 2004, I started the Rod Cross Blood Drives in Manhattan, The Legion sponsorship of the Manhattan Annual Easter Egg Hunt and various other Fundraising Events with the Legion and KGLT Radio. Since 2005, I have been a DJ at KGLT. In regards to the Chamber I have been an active participate since 2005 and chaired the Potato Festival Music Committee from 2006-2009. I also joined the Manhattan Museum Board in 2009.
Candi McDonald- Board of Directors
Candi grew up in White Sulphur Springs MT, and graduated from MSU Bozeman with a degree in Industrial Engineering. In 2008, her husband and her bought a house in Bozeman and about a year later she joined the HOA. Three years after joining the President stepped out and she was elected President of the HOA. She held that position until about a year ago. She currently works at Blackhawk as the Quality System Administrator and has been there for about 2 years. She supervises the Quality Inspectors out on the manufacturing floor, and manages their facility ISO certificatin and compliance. A year ago we put in a small employee only store and I manage that as well. I am chair of the wellness committee and help organize all of our employee functions and community outreach events including donations to support local groups.
Michelle Leum- Board of Directors
Churchill Retirement Home
Michelle was born and raised in the Churchill area. She is a Manhattan Christian School graduate, as well as a college graduate with a degree in Sociology/Social Work. Michelle has worked at the Churchill Retirement Home for 13 years as the Activity Coordinator. She is active on the Manhattan Christian School Board and also in her church, serving as GEMS leader to 5th grade girls. She has devoted much time and energy to volunteer and charity events through the years, and this year is adding to that by planning to organize a Relay for Life team.
